 The
Toshiba 2032 PCS phone is the first integrated Pocket PC phone
to be offered by Sprint. This handheld weighs 7 ounces, measures
roughly 3 by 5 inches and sports a spectacular 65,536 full-color
TFT screen. The Internet connection has constant availability,
an internal modem, and high-speed data access via CDMA networks
for fast email exchange (an average of 50 to 70 Kbps).
A
user-friendly touch-screen interface, on-screen keyboard, and
handwriting recognition make this phone a cinch to master.
Designed to work as productively as a desktop PC, the 2032
includes a 206 MHz Intel StrongARM Processor with 32 MB RAM, 32
MB of Flash ROM, and an SD card slot.
In addition, the 2032
comes with valuable business software, including Microsoft's
Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, Pocket Internet Explorer, Pocket
Outlook 2000, Windows Media Player, and ActiveSync 3.5, and is
equipped with Windows Media Player for viewing MP3 video and
audio files.
The
Toshiba 2032 also offers infrared transfer and synchronization
with the Outlook calendar, contact list, memos, and to-do list
on a designated PC. The phone features include Caller ID, power
save, one-touch access to voice mail, call log recall, a
security lock, and a built-in speakerphone for hands-free
operation. Talk time on the 2032 by Toshiba is rated at up to
1-1/2 hours and up to 4 days of standby time.
