Fly
with no paper references or notes, except charts, and still (1)
track fuel usage, (2) store, recall and manage personalized
checklists, (3) store, recall, and use airport data and
diagrams, (4) perform crosswind and traffic pattern
calculations.
All
this is done within the natural flow of flight. For IFR and VFR
flight in any single-engine, land-based aircraft with less than
236 horsepower.
The screen illustrated is displayed as the aircraft approaches
the airport traffic pattern.
It shows the checklist items for this phase of flight, the
airport's communication frequencies, the correct airspeed and
power setting, the current ATIS designator (Romeo) and a button
(lower right) to view the runway diagram.
What pilots like the most:
-
Good procedures, checklist, and flight information, are
integrated into a single view for each phase of flight.
-
Large, on-screen buttons eliminate the need for a stylus.
-
Flight information is backlit for easy viewing at night.
