Psychlist
is an integrated database program designed for workers in the
field of psychiatry.
It is primarily aimed at psychiatrists,
psychiatric nurses, team leaders and students in mental health but
professionals in allied fields such as social work and residential
care may find it useful.
The program has been designed to keep track
of psychiatric patients, the state of their illness, medications
and other treatments past and present, referrals which have been
made and current levels of risk etc. Features:
-
Many
of the selections (diagnosis, medication etc.) are made from
pulldown boxes for speed of data entry. It is possible to add
to these boxes (usually by clicking the plus sign next to the
pulldown menu), but after entering a new field, it is still
necessary to select it from the pulldown menu.
-
On
the notes page, there is a pulldown menu to mark the patient
as having ongoing/active problems. Patients that have been
marked as such can be listed separately on the search page.
Simply select "Problems require action" then click
the up arrow and only those patients will display.
-
All
records are automatically ordered alphabetically by last
name.
-
The
program has been designed around the UK system of mental
health provision
